THE NEW GENERATION OF TESLA TECHNOLOGY

The DT 1990 PRO MKII features the latest generation of TESLA drive technology, the TESLA.45. Redesigned from the ground up, the 45mm driver system has excellent resolution, extremely low distortion and impulse response. TESLA.45 provides signal fidelity even at high volumes. Our engineers have succeeded in combining studio sound and flexibility thanks to weight-optimized materials. The DT 1990 PRO MKII has an impedance of 30 ohms, which means that the headphones can be used with a variety of devices.

In terms of sound, the reference headphones have accurate bass response even at the lowest octaves. The slightly reduced high frequencies compared to the previous model offer a high information content and help to avoid wrong decisions when mixing. Thanks to the wide soundstage, instruments and voices can be precisely located. The audio transducers are manufactured at the company's headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany. Each DT 1990 PRO MKII contains two TESLA.45 sound transducers, which are measured several times during the various stages of production.

MAXIMUM COMFORT

Designed for hours of use in the studio, the DT 1990 PRO MKII offers exceptional comfort. The robust, flexible spring steel construction of the headband ensures optimal pressure. Thanks to the skin-friendly velor ear cushions, the headphones are comfortable to wear even during long sessions. The headband, which consists of soft memory foam and durable artificial leather, adapts perfectly to the shape of the head. And thanks to the fontanel retraction, pain-sensitive areas of the head are avoided. Both the headband and the ear cushions can be replaced if necessary.

TWO SOUND SIGNATURES

Designed to maximize flexibility, the DT 1990 PRO MKII comes with two different types of ear pads. The "Producing Velours", which are standard, provide a rich sound thanks to a slight bass boost. "Mixing & Mastering Velours" offers a more analytical sound. Two cables are also included: a straight cable of 3 m and a coiled cable of 5 m. Both cables have a lockable 3-pin mini-XLR connector. Everything is stored safely in a high quality hard case.
