Korg PA700 jatkaa siitä, mihin PA600 jäi. Konsepti on tuttu: kompakti ja virtaviivainen ulkokuori ja alan muhkein soundi. Kaksi 25W vahvistinta ajaa kaiuttimia ja uudelleen suunniteltu bassorefleksi takaavat ensiluokkaisen äänentoiston. PA700:n etupaneelia on virtaviivaistettu ja kontrollit on sijoitettu intuitiivisesti livetilanteita silmällä pitäen. Uudella kapasitiivisella TouchView näytöllä uusi graafinen käyttöjärjestelmä pääsee oikeuksiinsa entistä helppolukuisempana ja -käyttöisempänä vaativissakin olosuhteissa. Niin ikään uusittu etsimistoiminto helpottaa tyylien, settien ja songbookkien löytämistä ja niitä voi nyt soittaa suoraan USB:lta ilman laitteen muistiin lataamista.
Korgin EDS-X synteesiengine on PA700:n ytimessä 1700 presetin voimin. Soundeja löytyy klassisista moderneihin kosketinsoittimiin, bändi- ja orkesterisoittimiin sekä elektronisiin ja akustisiin instrumentteihin teknosta folkkiin. Mukana on kaksi monikerroksista stereoflyygeliä (mallinnetulla vaimenninpedaalisoundilla ja runkoresonansseilla) sekä kiitetyillä sähköpianosoundeilla Korg SV-1 Stage Pianosta. Urkumallinnuksessa on koskettimen paino- ja irroitussoundi, vuoto- ja rotarykaiutinmallinnus. Lisäksi PA700ssa on uusia puhallininstrumentteja, jousia ja bassoja – jopa akustisia ja sähkökitaroita.
